It’s that time of year again! The annual Sandhills Motoring Expo is revving up for another exciting year, taking place Memorial Day Weekend (May 24th-26th) in the charming Village of Pinehurst. This three-day extravaganza is a must-attend for anyone who loves classic cars, exotic automobiles, and everything in between. Pinehurst Toyota is proud to be a longtime supporter of this event and sponsoring the Friday Block Party on May 24th this year, with a collection of exotic vehicles in front of the Pine Crest Inn.

The centerpiece of the Expo is the prestigious Concours in the Village, held on Sunday. Over 170 unique and meticulously selected cars will line the streets of Pinehurst, competing for top honors in 20 different classes. From vintage beauties to modern marvels, prepare to be dazzled by the finest automotive creations.

But the fun doesn’t stop there! The Expo offers a variety of events throughout the weekend to keep car fanatics entertained. Here’s a quick glimpse:

  • Block Party: Kick-off the festivities on Friday evening with a block party at the Pine Crest Inn. Enjoy delicious local fare while mingling with fellow car enthusiasts.
  • Road Rally: Put your navigational skills to the test on Saturday with the Expo Road Rally. Explore the scenic backroads of the Sandhills area in a thrilling competition.
  • Artisan Tour and Car Show: Travel to Starworks, a renowned artist collective, for a unique combination of exquisite artwork, a judged car show, and a delightful cookout lunch.
  • Hangar Soiree: Wrap up the Expo in style with an elegant evening at the Moore County Airport. This exclusive event features a catered dinner by Elliott’s on Linden, alongside a display of exotic cars and airplanes.

The Sandhills Motoring Expo is more than just a car show; it’s a celebration of the automobile’s rich heritage and enduring passion. Proceeds from the event go towards the Sandhills Motoring Festival Endowment at Sandhills Community College, which provides scholarships for students in the Automotive Technologies Program.
